What We Do

Koom Tes Tiv Thaiv is dedicated to improving healthcare access and education in the Hmong community. Through hands-on initiatives, we empower individuals with knowledge and build connections between the community and healthcare professionals.

Our Work Includes:

✅ Health Education & Outreach – Hosting workshops, health fairs, and culturally tailored educational programs to address common health concerns in the Hmong community.

✅ Free Health Screenings – Partnering with healthcare providers to offer screenings at community events, ensuring access to preventive care.

✅ Community Engagement & Advocacy – Strengthening trust between the Hmong community and the healthcare system by addressing barriers, fostering dialogue, and promoting culturally competent care.

✅ Mentorship & Leadership Development – Supporting the next generation of Hmong healthcare professionals through mentorship, leadership opportunities, and hands-on experience in community health work.

Our Work In the Community

2023 Hmong Community Health Champions

As part of the 2023 Hmong Health and Culture Fair, Koom Tes Tiv Thaiv organized a virtual talent showcase for Hmong youth in the San Joaquin Valley. Youth used artistic expression to highlight important health topics affecting the Hmong community.

With the support of our generous donors—A+ Urgent Care Center in Clovis, CA, Heu Medical Group, Inc., Sunfat Trading Company, and StoneSoup Fresno—we were able to award a total of $1000 in monetary prizes to these talented Hmong community health champions.
